You will discover the Chigi Chapel inside the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, admire the dramatic Baroque artistry inside the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria, and stand beneath the celestial open oculus of the ancient Pantheon. The trail continues through the heart of the city to the theatrical waters of Piazza Navona before crossing toward the monumental fortress of Castel Sant'Angelo.
The adventure brings you alongside the historic Passetto di Borgo, the fortified secret passageway connecting the papal residence to the castle, before arriving in the magnificent expanse of Vatican City. Upon request, a private licensed guide can be arranged to escort you through the treasures of the Vatican for a truly in-depth experience. At the end of your thrilling quest, your driver escorts you comfortably back to your hotel. Please note that Saint Peter’s Basilica may occasionally close without prior notice for papal liturgies or mass, and an on-site fee of 1.50 Euros in cash is required per visitor for basilica headsets.
